Does Anybody Have Any Money? I want to make a Terminator Movie!
Ok, people! We can’t waste any more time. Last Friday Variety reported that Halcyon Holding Group announced that it expects to conclude the auction for the Terminator franchise rights by Feb. 1 as part of its bankruptcy process. So there is still time to make a last minute bid. So here’s the plan, everybody who reads this pitches in twenty bucks, gets an executive producing credit and at least two extra scenes in the movie. Those who make higher donations get an awesome death scene at the hands of the lead cyborg! Can’t you picture it? The Terminator running amok Old San Juan while Jonh Connor’s Caribbean cruise vacation is abruptly cut short when they dock in Puerto Rico!
Come Monday morning I’m pitching this to the Puerto Rico Film Comission.
All kidding aside, can you believe that word bankrupt is used in the same sentence as the Terminator franchise? I mean even the last two-James Cameron free- sequels made money. How can this be? If you’re a less interested in the business side of this debacle you can check out Terminator Salvation, a pretty decent movie expect for the stunt casting of Christian Bale as John Connor, which came out on DVD this last Tuesday.
In the mean time, let’s not give up the dream. Got any ideas for a Terminator Sequel we could make?
