Ok, random anniversary of the week: 25 years ago on November 4th 1984, Stephen King’s Firestarter opened starring future hellraiser and Whip It director Drew Barrymore, George aka “Patton” C. Scott and David Keith. Barrymore, who had already been in horror movie (Altered States) went on to star in another King project, 1985’s Cat’s Eye. Firestater flopped when it came out but it gathered a cult following during it’s video release and even spawning a TV Movie sequel. Does anyone cope to owning this on DVD? I don’t, but I vividly remember the day I saw this in the theater. Alone! And I was only ten!! Talk about active parenting!

Enjoy this the wacky fan tribute
