Natalie Portman in Adult Film Role

Ok, if you are expecting porn click away (you know where to go) or go freeze frame Portman’s scenes in Closer. This post is for an interview where the star of Brothers says she feels that her role in that film is the first time she has been allowed to play a woman.

Take a look at the junket interview:

This movie, which opens tomorrow in the States will need raves from the critics to create any impact, given that its one of the few Holiday Movies that has arrived free of any buzz. Brothers does not have an opening date in Puerto Rico.

Natalie Portman as a MOM?!

Hot Momma!

Hot Momma!

Even thought the crucial aspect of Natalie Portman’s new role in Brothers is as a wife caught in a love triangle, I came upon this promotional clip for this Stateside December release and I was kind of shocked by what I saw. Take a look!

It’s hard for me to buy Portman as the mother of two young girls, specially one who is seven years old, when she looks like she’s barely seventeen. I mean, wasn’t she the kid in The Professional like a nanosecond ago?!
I know I’m being ridiculous, but what do you think? Does it play or will it pull you out of the movie?

Brothers is a movie with a stellar cast, but up until now the distributor is sort of waiting for the film to gather up nominations and awards for it to get some publicity. If this doesn’t happen, this is the sort of movie that gets lost in the Holiday shuffle and you discover six months later when it comes out on DVD.

So heres a heads up with the trailer, but watch at your own risk. It is the sort of trailer that packs the whole movie into two minutes. Still, I’m looking forward to this one.

Best (Future) Movie Gets Another Cast Member

Those of you who consider yourselves film geeks get ready to have a conniption. Ok, here goes: Darren Aronofsky’s supernatural thriller, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as ballerina rivals/lovers. WINONA RYDER stuck in the middle.

Please do not star in Heathers 2!

Please do not star in Heathers 2!

All of this spells out that The Black Swan will definitely be one to watch in 2011.
It could also be a career comeback for Ryder, who was on a streak during the late eighties ( Beetlejuice, Heathers) and early nineties (Mermaids, Edward Scissorhands, Little Women. The Age of Innocence) but lost her heat to a personal scandal.

This was reported today in Variety. I would give you the link but the plot synopsis contains a MAJOR SPOILER. Do yourself a favor a just titillate yourself with the possibilities this creative team up offers. And if that fails write your own version of the Portman/Kunis love scene!
