So in regards to the release of Brothers, here at filmotico I have been focusing exclusively on Natalie Portman. But since this is an equal opportunity blog, and we want as many hits as possible, I give you interviews with Spiderman and The Prince of Persia-I mean with male leads Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. Enjoy!
Ok, if you are expecting porn click away (you know where to go) or go freeze frame Portman’s scenes in Closer. This post is for an interview where the star of Brothers says she feels that her role in that film is the first time she has been allowed to play a woman.
Take a look at the junket interview:
This movie, which opens tomorrow in the States will need raves from the critics to create any impact, given that its one of the few Holiday Movies that has arrived free of any buzz. Brothers does not have an opening date in Puerto Rico.
Brothers is a movie with a stellar cast, but up until now the distributor is sort of waiting for the film to gather up nominations and awards for it to get some publicity. If this doesn’t happen, this is the sort of movie that gets lost in the Holiday shuffle and you discover six months later when it comes out on DVD.
So heres a heads up with the trailer, but watch at your own risk. It is the sort of trailer that packs the whole movie into two minutes. Still, I’m looking forward to this one.
