The last time I talked to Matt Damon( two months ago at the Toronto FilmFestival) I asked him if he was interested in following his friend Ben Affleck’s steps into the director’s chair. He assured me “that will inevitable, but for now I’m grateful to have my plate full as an actor and getting to collaborate with the best directors out there.”
He wasn’t kidding. He’s got the upcoming Invictus with Clint Eastwood. A reteaming with Paul Greengrass (Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum) which you can take a look at here

After this he has a Liberace project set up with Steven Soderberg and today Variety announced that he would be working with Eastwood again in Hereafter a supernatural drama that will film in Paris, London, Hawaii and San Francisco and is slated for release in December 2010.
Before all this comes to fruition,lets hope Damon has to pencil in a trip to the Kodak Theater.He is still a front runner in the Best Actor category for his hilariously scary performance in The Informant!
